This device is AMAZING! It senses when there is water present and sends a signal to your smart home device. I have had plumbing leaks in my basement on a number of occasions. I have this device sitting on the floor of my basement. When it senses water, it sends a signal to my “SmartThings” controller. The controller notifies me by text and automatically turns off the main water supply.
Last year, my water heater sprung a leak. (Before I had the water leak sensor) This is a picture of m pump working to pump out 8 inches of water.
Below is the “WaterBug” pump I used to pump out the basement. It pumps out up to 1257 gallons per hour.
