If you plan to put drywall on the ceiling, you should seriously think about getting a drywall lift. After much research, I chose the basic drywall lift they sell at Harbor Freight. Years ago when I was putting sheetrock up on the ceiling, I rented a drywall lift. I will be putting drywall up on the ceiling off and on for a few months so it just makes sense to purchase one. This one has done everything I’ve asked it to do and MORE.
CEILINGS – When the drywall lift is A MUST when you put drywall on the ceiling… especially if you are doing it yourself. I’ve built 2×4 tee arrangements to hold the sheetrock on the ceiling as I work but a lift allows you to move the sheet around on the ceiling SAFELY.
WALLS – The lift also holds the sheetrock on the upper half of the wall. Just put the sheet onto lift, then tilt the sheet into place. You can move it around and crank it higher if needed. The tow grabbing hands hold the sheet in place.
I waited for it to go on sale and paid about $180 for it. Click here to go to the Harbor Freight site.
