For years, I’ve used a right angle drill attachment for my drill. It is a pain in the neck to use. Recently, I purchased a Dewalt Right Angle Cordless drill. I love it. I wished I would have bought one earlier.
It has plenty of power and the battery lasts most of the day under heavy use. I’ve used it most for drilling electrical wire holes in the wall studs.
It is only 4″ across so it will fit in tight places and it has two speed ranges; one from 0-650 rpm and another from 0-2200 rpm. The trigger is long and narrow to make it easy to grip in tight spaces. The chuck is 3/8″ with a deep 2″ hex pocket so a hex bit can be fully inserted.
As you can see below, there are a number of different purchasing options.
If you want a cheaper option, this right angle drill attachment might do the trick. It actually works great it you have a real tight spot to drill in. (You can use it with short bits.
