Ok, I know this isn’t a tool but it is an amazingly simple way of putting in a perfectly level fence post. Or, in my case, a simple way of putting in a new post for my mailbox.
The old mailbox was sitting on a metal pole that was just barely holding it up. When the wind blew, the mailbox would weather-vain around and face a different direction.
To put in this post, simple pound in the metal support post. (I used a sledge hammer.) You know how difficult it is to pound a post in perfectly straight. With this system, it doesn’t matter if the post is a bit crooked. When you slide in the off-centered, cam-like, supports it allows the post to be perfect. I used a level up against them and twisted them until the bubble was centered. Then, you slide on the pvc post and screw it into the supports.

This the mailbox kit I bought but installed it with the WamBam fence post.
